I was asked to handle the blogger guest list for an AW14 preview event for the German fashion retailer Marc Cain. An add on to their seasonal press day which was held earlier that day, Marc Cain wanted to host an intimate evening event for the select UK bloggers to introduce them to the new collection over drinks, music and canapes.
As a specialist in blogger outreach I was hired to work alongside their UK PR agency to secure UK bloggers from the fashion and lifestyle sectors at the event, ensuring they were the right fit for the brand.
A personal invite was sent out to my contact database the week prior to the event and then follow up was done in the few days before to secure numbers. An RSVP list was compiled which included around 50 top UK bloggers. I was present on the night to meet and greet the guests and the Marc Cain team were on hand to show guests around the collection. Following the event I dealt with the aftercare, thanking all of those who attended and securing coverage of the event on those blogs.
Around 30 bloggers were in attendance on the evening and press material and info was sent on to those who weren’t able to attend in order to ensure further coverage.
Marc Cain were able to build relationships with the blogging community in the UK and have since worked with many of the bloggers I introduced them to, on press trips and larger campaigns.
